Message from the Senior Aerospace Science Instructor...

If you want to be a part of something that is a cut above the rest and are motivated to work as part of a team, to lead, and to succeed, then AFJROTC is a great fit.

If you were to ask a current cadet what they get out of this program they will tell you a “sense of belonging”—they receive a built-in group of friends that become like a second family, people they trust and know they can count on for anything.  Many will tell you the program has given them more self-confidence and self-discipline.  Our cadets have a great sense of pride to be a part of something bigger than themselves.  This unit has received the Distinguished Unit Award for 14 consecutive years due to outstanding service to the school and community—cadets are very proud of this accomplishment and the respect they’ve earned from the school and community.

AFJROTC includes classroom academics, team building and leadership opportunities, field trips, community service activities, and a Drill Team.  Our primary goal is to give you the life skills you’ll need to be successful no matter what you choose to do.  Students enrolled in AFJROTC classes do not have an obligation to serve in the military.  We do have many cadets who are already interested in joining the military; for those students who are interested in joining the military, AFJROTC provides additional benefits such as going in at a higher rank and pay grade (more money).  If a student is interested in a career as an officer in the military, AFJROTC can make them more competitive for college scholarships.

What does a student get out of the program?  You receive:
  • A required health/PE credit,
  • A required Social Studies credit,
  • Financial Literacy credit,
  • A sense of belonging to something meaningful,
  • Teambuilding and leadership,
  • Increased self-confidence, and
  • An opportunity for interesting and fun field trips,
  • ...And Much More!
JROTC, cadets develop a strong sense of teamwork, personal responsibility, and accomplishment.  If you want to be a part of this very special program, you can enroll in an Aerospace Science or Leadership Education class.
